Keep creating more boundaries in your household. In doing this, it will create a stronger, more trusting bond between you and your dog, inside and outside.
Start with a command, like sit, and then open the door. If they break the command then restart.
Repeat this step until you are able to successfully have the door open and your dog is still in command. Once you are ready for your dog to exit your home, tell them to break.
Don't let them fly out the door and pull you after them. Make sure it is a calm exit.
Remember, repetition, repetition.
Be consistent and practice every time you go outside.
