Remember! Do not just open your front door and hope for the best. In this case, your dog needs to respect the boundary of the front door.
How do you start this process of threshold respect? Well it can lead all the way back to crate training, when your dog should be taught to not come out of the crate until you say your break word.
Same thing when heading out on a walk - your dog should not just barge out of the door. Instead you need to lead the way and when YOU ARE READY for them to exit your home, say your break word.
*I do this with a lot of doors or gates I encounter out on my walk as well to reinforce the command of respecting the threshold even more.
Have a leash on your dog in the beginning, just in case you can not reach them directly.
(Having a "crate" or "bed" command is helpful too.)
And then we begin!
Open the door slowly. If the dogs run right to the door, then back them away with your body and don't open the door any more than that. Patience my friend, it may take lots of patience.
Keep opening the door little by little and make sure the dogs don't take any steps toward the door.
After practice and consistency, you will be able to open your door without the fear of having your dog rush out.
