If your dog is wary of your crutches, like one of my dogs was, I would start out laying my crutch on the ground. Allow your dog to sniff object and see that it does not pose a threat. (I also did this with the boat on my foot as well.)
Use your dog's motivator and verbal/physical praise when your dog is ok with crutch on ground.
Repeat this process with crutches propped against something, so that it is in a more upright position.
Once your dog is more accustomed to the actual crutches themselves, then walking with them near your dog should become less and less scary for them.
Next, it's time to take them on a walk. Your dog should be pretty comfortable around the crutches by this point, but bring your dog's motivator with you if need be. Keep up with the verbal/physical praise.
